Showing:- Getting it rightTurnout is so important when you're competing your horse. If you're not sure what you or your horse should be wearing for a particulat class then why don't you pop in to see us here at Wadswick and talk to a member of staff who will be happy to give you lots of advice.
In any event there are things you can do to make sure you look as good as possible regardless of what you're going to be doing.
- Consider having a numnah or saddlecloth for 'best'. The Bridleway range has both in lots of different colours and sizes. And best of all they're fantastic value for money.
- Don't forget to clean the bottom of your boots - in a showing class a judge might check these so if its muddy you'll need to get someone to help you with this once you're on board.
- Make sure you hair is tied back or use a hairnet. There's nothing worse than a riding hat with wisps of hair escaping under it.
- Keep your hair and make-up to a minimum - you don't want anything to detract from the look of your horse.
- Consider getting a show set of grooming kit and essential lotions and potions so you don't have to sort them out every time you go competing. The Bridleway grooming tote would be perfect to carry it all. |
