 Wadswick Country Store Ltd. are growing probably the largest acreage in the Southern Counties – 80 Acres – with the Blizard variety of Sunflower, over 10% of the UK crop (UK Sunflower Assoc. 2006). 

Grown (almost) exclusively as an ingredient for Wild Bird feed which Wadswick Country Store bags at its site near Corsham in Wiltshire. 

With 99% of Sunflowers or derived product imported for UK industries, Wadswick are determined to produce and promote home grown Sunflowers, reducing their carbon footprint. Wadswick Sunflowers and other home grown seeds account for 99% of the Wild Bird Feed ingredients. Wadswick are developing a range of feeds from locally grown products, among them wheat and maize for mixed corn.
